Guests often appreciate the spacious and tastefully decorated bedrooms. Wonderful stay

friendly welcome front parking superb meal
The friendly welcome I received at reception really made an impression. I found parking available directly in front of the building, very convenient. The hotel restaurant offered a great dining option. I enjoyed a superb meal there (especially the steak!).
The absence of conveniently located power sockets near the bed made charging my phone overnight a slight inconvenience.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel provides convenient amenities such as complimentary toiletries and a coffee machine in each room. I also noticed that there is free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel and in all of the rooms.

the beautiful room had bags of character and seemed like staying in a stately home (a nice surprise!). the location was good with plenty of restaurants within a short walk. the bed was very comfy and pillows were too.
there were not enough plug sockets in the room. i found none at all by the bedside table and only two by the table. i needed more plugs for chargers and other devices.

Acceptable Stay

hot chocolate fresh milk plughole issue fruit flies
I was happy with the room and the two beds I requested. The availability of hot chocolate bags was a good bonus! Fresh milk was provided upon request.
The room cleanliness could have been better. The bathroom seemed stark! The hand basin had a plughole issue, so it wouldn't drain water properly. Fruit flies were present in both the bedroom and bathroom.

The Brown Brothers room was spacious. It included a roll top bath and a separate rainfall shower. Everything needed was available (champagne glasses!).
The lack of available car parking was a problem. Limited spaces are available on a first come first served basis at £15 per night. Alternative solutions had to be found.
